Other Parish Organizations
There are a number of groups associated with St. Kevin’s Parish whose mission is religious education, social service to the community, and aid to the parish.
Legion of Mary
The Legion of Mary is a Catholic lay association with a ministry of prayer and service in the Spirit of the Blessed Mother. Members participate in the life of the parish through the visitation of families, the sick and other apostolic undertakings.
The Women’s Guild provides an opportunity for the women of the parish to come together in a spirit of community and friendship. The Women’s Guild supports the parish through Guild sponsored activities, fundraisers, and by actively supporting all parish events.
Concilio Hispano/Comité Latino
This committee generally meets on the first Sunday of the month after the noon Spanish Mass. All interested are invited. The purpose of the group is to discuss issues concerning noon Spanish Liturgy, parish events sponsored by the Hispanic community, to coordinate ministries, and to forge a liaison between it and other parish committees.
The Guadalupe Society sponsors two major religious events during the year, the Feast of St. Cecilia and the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
St. Vincent de Paul Conference
St. Kevin’s St. Vincent de Paul Conference helps the poor of the parish, providing emergency assistance to families, collecting and delivering holiday food baskets for the needy at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, including Christmas gifts for children of the needy, and making sandwiches one Sunday a month for the homeless.
Our conference also participates in programs for the homeless and for victims of domestic violence with other St. Vincent de Paul conferences throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area.
Membership in the St. Kevin’s St. Vincent de Paul conference is open to members of the parish who want to help the poor, and offers training for home visits and Vincentian work.
